Ethiopia Bound

We're all packed and ready to go meet our little boy!! We leave in an hour to start our journey to Ethiopia!

This is what it looks like to pack for a 10-week stay in another country with a baby:

I wish we could call, text, visit, or email ALL of you one last time before we leave, but I'm realizing its just not possible. So...for our sanity, take this post as your official "THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND LOVE!" We will be emailing and blogging while we're in Ethiopia, so check back here for updates.

We're praying to have LOTS of great news to share soon!

I am so extremely excited for you guys! Know we'll be praying for safe travels, your sweet little babe's health, and for things to go very smoothly so you can bring him home SOON!

April 12: USCIS forms mailed May 11: USCIS Fingerprints complete May 14: Final Vaccinations May 19: USCIS APPROVAL!! May 21: Cover letter authentication (MI) May 22: POA's & Homestudy authenticated (IN) June 14: POA's authenticated (again) June 14: Dossier sent to D.C. for authentication June 19: Dossier returned from DC (copy incident!) June 21: Dossier resubmitted to Washington D.C. June 24: Dossier returned from Washington D.C. June 24: DOSSIER SUBMITTED!!!!!!!!!!!!! July 9: Dossier to Ethiopa (D.T.E.) March 2: REFERRAL! Little Boy "B" - 5 months old April 4: Submitted to court June 2: Fly to Ethiopia June 7: COURT DATE! July 13: EMBASSY - Our adoption is complete! July 16: Kad's forever home!
